Value Added Applications for Agriculture using emerging EU Wireless Internet Technology (VAAWIT)
NECTEC staffs are invited to attend a presentation and to take part in a workshop on the findings and
recommendations of the VAAWIT project, which has brought together agricultural and technology experts from Asia and Europe.
The aim of the project is to identify potential application areas in farming, which can exploit emerging and next generation wireless internet technology.
The workshop will take place by kind courtesy of NECTEC in
Room 306, the NECTEC Building, Thailand Science Park, Thailand
on Tuesday 24 June 2003, from 9 am to 2 pm.

The Asia IT&C Programme
Background to the VAAWIT Project
Agricultural Context
Technology and Usability
Specific issues in Thailand
Recommendations
The presentations from 9.30 am to 10.15 will be followed by workshop groups and an open discussion to give you
an opportunity to comment on the findings of the project. A light lunch will be served at 1 pm
